By far one of my favorite art installations at Burning Man last year (2007) was the Steampunk Treehouse. They spent so much time on this thing and it turned out friggin awesome!
I never did climb up inside, it was WAY to packed once they finally had it opened up.
@~madnessmountains no that is one of the joys of the Burning Man experience, the transitory nature of the experience. I believe they had it for sale after the event but that was years ago so who knows. One of their other pieces the Gothic Raygun Rocketship is on display in San Francisco.
*lol* I think I would've tried camping out at the beginning of each day for a chance to look inside! I saw vids floating somewhere of the house deconstructed at the warehouse they were storing it at. Wonder if anyone has recordings of the steam whistles they were describing. They said that the ravers said they were too loud, which they further commented that when ravers say it's loud, it's probably really loud. XD

This year they had the Raygun Gothic Rocket which was one my my favs on the Playa! Love these guys!
